My hubby's birthday was yesterday. I was to sick to go last night for his birthday meal. I am taking him out tonight. I decided to check out menus on line to get the nutritional content of items so I can make an educated choice. We have a birthday coupon for Red Robin but after looking at their web site I decided I was not going to get straight forward information from them. I then checked out Applebees, TFI Fridays and Chilis. Mike decided on Chilis. I printed out the nutritional information sheet. I will let you later how well I do. This will be the first time eating out since I started this quest
UPDATE!!! Well, I did very well with my choice and I was very surprised at just how tasty it was. Chili's have done very well with this menu item. I will be going back to check out the rest of the guiltless grill items.
(drum roll please)
My choice was the GUILTLESS BLACK BEAN BURGER!!
A meatless black bean patty topped with low-fat Ranch, shredded lettuce, tomato, pickle and onion. Served with steamed seasonal veggies w/Parmesan cheese
DINNER: eating out Chili's
(standing in the spot light...letting the warmth of the light and sound of the applause permeate every fat cell in my body) I want to be able to extract this feeling when I may need it in the future.

Hi Ann,
I stumbled across your blog and was really interested to read of your quest. For most of my 43 years, I have been on one 'diet' or another and have never had a healthy relationship with food or my body image. I've tried everything - Jenny Craig, Weight Watchers, South Beach, Atkins, Low Carb this, Low fat that...but I could never sustain the weight loss I initially achieved and always ended up chubbier and more miserable than when I started. So 10 weeks ago, I consulted a naturopath who advised me to cut out all forms of sugar, wheat and flour - sounds drastic, but it has worked amazingly well. I've never been hungry and in fact, have been eating more than ever - oatmeal for breakfast, brown rice, tuna (or other protein) and salad and veges for lunch, and chicken, salmon or steak with veges for dinner and I finish the day with fresh fruit and yoghurt. I've got heaps of energy, lost lots of weight and for the first time in my whole adult life, felt relaxed and in control of the food issue. I've thrown out the scales, because in the olden days (!), a gram up or down would mean a good or a bad day - I was obsessed by the numbers. I now measure my progress with the tape measure and my clothes only.
I wish you every success with your quest and will be popping back regularly to check on your progress . I would love to swap tips and support if you are interested ? I am a 43 year old Sydney married mother of a 15 year old son (and a Taurean too !!)
I hope your week is a great one Ann.
