I was listening to the Motivation To Move podcast and they were talking about how important it is to set a goal in your weight loss program. I have resisted setting a goal, other than wanting to eat healthy for healthy reasons.
Am I fooling myself
I want to lose weight but I don't want to call it a "diet" because I have failed in the past.
Am I fooling myself?
I want get down to about 135 lbs but I am scared of the number game, because I have failed in the past.
Am I fooling myself?
I want to be able to get my butt to the gym on a regular basic, but I have failed in the past.
I have to face the fact that I need some kind of goal to aim for, to keep motivated by, to measure my success by. I decided I would make two goals. A long and short time goal. My long time goal is to get down to a size 9 pair of jeans. I really don't know what I need to weigh to make that happen. But I have to have a plan to get there. So my short time goal is to have 20 lbs off by my birthday, which is April 25.
I have given myself the option to "tweak" my goals as I make this journey. Each weigh-in I am going to review my progress and being truthful without beating myself up if I am not where I wanted to be. I will take a critical look at my results and I will make the necessary corrections to reach my goals.
